Meet Dr. Albert Baawo Jr DMD

Dr. Albert Baawo believes great dentistry is about more than healthy teeth—it's about helping people smile with confidence and improving their quality of life.
With advanced hospital-based training in oral surgery, dental implants, and sedation, Dr. Baawo provides comprehensive care under one roof. He is experienced in treating patients with dental anxiety, medically complex conditions, and special healthcare needs, including individuals with autism, Down syndrome, and developmental disabilities. By placing and restoring dental implants in the same practice, he offers patients a convenient, seamless treatment experience.
Dr. Baawo earned a full academic scholarship to Duke University, where he received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical College of Georgia and completed advanced hospital training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital, and Emory University.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Baawo is deeply committed to serving others. In 2024, he earned a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from Liberty University, reflecting his passion for leadership, service, and helping individuals and families thrive. He and his wife actively mentor couples, college students, and young leaders while investing in initiatives that strengthen communities and empower the next generation.
Dr. Baawo is a past Vice President of the North Georgia Dental Society and maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, National Dental Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and the National Eagle Scout Association.
